Covid 19 Community Update 3/25/2020

PLEASE NOTE: Due to state and local restrictions, Canyon Club is taking the below actions, effective immediately.


When state and local restrictions are lifted we will provide updated information.

The clubhouse, gym and recreation (game) room are closed until further notice as of 5pm today (3/25).


The Annual Meeting will not be held April 21, 2020. The meeting will be rescheduled when state and local restrictions have been lifted. Advance notice will be given prior to the rescheduled meeting date, and there will be a new mailing of the election ballots for that meeting.

Emergency maintenance requests will be supported. Please submit emergencies via the Maintenance Emergency Line: 720-385-8158 and your call will be returned. You may also contact the maintenance team via email at: cchoamaintenance@gmail.com. The mailroom and laundry rooms will continue to be open and our maintenance team will disinfect the mailroom and laundry rooms twice daily.

Gas line work: The contractor is doing a property-wide assessment to see if there are any gas lines that need immediate attention. If so, they will work with residents on-on-one to make arrangements. Otherwise the gas line work will stop until restrictions are lifted.

The office is closed until further notice. However, email will continue to be monitored, please submit questions and concerns via email at: canyonclubcondos@gmail.com, and we will respond as soon as possible.

Be considerate of neighbors. When in common areas, practice personal safety measures such as 6’ minimum distancing from other residents. With many people working from home and children out of school, please adhere to noise ordinance guidance.

Stockpile Update

MWH brought in an additional scraper to assist with expediting the removal of the stockpiles. MWH expects to have the removal completed by the end of spring.

East Gate Entrance

The front gate to the property on Happy Canyon Road has resumed operation and there will be additional construction traffic use through this entrance. Street sweeping to remove mud and debris from the roadway is regularly scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays. Additional street sweeping will be completed as needed.

Landscaping

Weather permitting, landscaping will begin in May.

Fencing

We will be replacing the fence along Happy Canyon Road starting on March 16. During this time, temporary chain link fencing will be in place near the sidewalk. The sidewalk will remain open during construction activity. We anticipate permanent fence will be installed in April.

Completion Timeline

As demolition and construction of the new pump station nears completion this summer, we anticipate less noise and dust throughout the site. The entire project is expected to be completed in early 2022.

HOA Meeting

MWH and Denver Water is planning to attend the Southmoor HOA meeting at Thomas Jefferson High School on April 23, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. We will provide an update and answer project related questions from the community.

Work Hours

We continue to work on Saturdays through the spring, with personnel arriving at 7 a.m. and equipment use beginning at 8 a.m. We do not anticipate working any Sundays for the foreseeable future.

Weekday working hours remain 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

IMPORTANT: In order to conduct the meeting we must have a quorum which is 35 owners present or by proxy card.

Gas Meter Work

Gas Meter work

Starting March 2020, Elite Plumbing will be replacing the gas lines from the meter to the building. 

  • This project will affect EVERY UNIT. 
  • Each unit will only be without gas for one day.
  • Maintenance will hang a flyer on your door a few days before work begins on your building. 
  • When the work for your building is done Elite Plumbing or Maintenance will need to relight the pilot light for your water heater, Your furnace will auto relight. 
  • If you are unavailable for relighting the day the work is completed please text maintenance at (720)385-8158  with your unit number and a time that is convenient.
