COVID-19 Update

While we are all going through these unprecedented times, the Board wanted to keep you updated as to what is going on around the complex.

Maintenance continues to sanitize the mailroom three times daily and the laundry rooms twice daily.

Work on the gas lines has restarted, and will be coordinated on a unit-by-unit basis.

Maintenance will be doing irrigation startup beginning Monday, April 27th. Please continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines before approaching – wear a mask and provide at least 6 feet of distance.

The office will remain closed until further notice. Jennifer is checking email on a daily basis from home. If you need to reach the staff or board please send an email message to Canyonclubcondos@gmail.com. If you have a maintenance emergency you can call 720-385-8158 and leave a message your name, unit #, phone # and the nature of the emergency. The individual who is on call will return your call.

As a reminder, there is no large trash pickup at this time. We will notify you when Waste Connection has reinstated this service.

The fitness center, game spot and game room will remain closed to ensure everyone’s safety.

We haven’t yet determined if and when it will be safe to open the pool. For now, we are waiting on city and state guidelines. Please note that there is a possibility that the pool may not open this summer.

A big shout-out to Jim and Sue Houchens, for converting the Little Library into a food drop. If you need something, please feel free to take it and if you have something to donate, please do so. Thank you to everyone who has donated, we are all going through trying times.

The Annual HOA Meeting has still not yet been rescheduled. Once it is safe for a large meeting we will reschedule. Notices will be emailed, posted in bulletin boards and LCM will be doing another mailing.

We ask you to help keep an eye on your neighbors, as we have several within our community that are at great risk during these times.

Please use masks or some type of face covering when out and social distance a minimum of 6 feet for everyone’s protection. Stay Safe and Healthy!

COVID-19

The Hillcrest project has been designated an essential infrastructure construction project that will continue forward during the shelter-in-place order issued by Gov. Jared Polis. Denver Water and MWH are taking all essential precautions to ensure we maintain recommended health and safety guidelines for our employees and the public.

Stockpile Update

Scrapers are still in use and we are on target to have the stockpiles removed by the end of April. Once the stockpile removal is complete, you should see a noticeable decrease in the amount of heavy machinery at the Hillcrest Site.

Happy Canyon Road Cleaning

We have shifted to using the East Gate entrance on Happy Canyon Road as our primary gate, which has caused an increase of dirt and debris on Happy Canyon Road. To keep the roadway clean, we are sweeping two times a week: Wednesday and Friday. We will sweep on additional days as needed.

Fencing & Landscaping

The installation of the new fence has been postponed due to manufacturing delays. The fence is now scheduled to arrive in mid-May. Landscaping is tentatively scheduled for early June, pending weather.

East Gate Entrance

Once the new fence installation is complete, we will construct a new access drive off of Happy Canyon Road. We anticipate this work will begin in early June. You will be notified of any impacts to roads or sidewalks in the next newsletter and via the social media platform Nextdoor.

Work Hours

We are continuing to work on Saturdays through spring. Personnel typically arrive at 7 a.m. and equipment use begins at 8 a.m. We do not anticipate working any Sundays for the foreseeable future.

Weekday working hours remain 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

HOA Meeting

The Southmoor HOA meeting that was scheduled for April 23 at Thomas Jefferson High School has been rescheduled for Sept. 24. We will send out a reminder with confirmed time and location closer to this date.

Recycling Bins and Large Item Pick ups

Hi Everyone,

I know that we are all spending a lot more time at home these days and we hope that everyone is staying safe. One thing that we have noticed is there are a lot of items being placed in the recycling bins that do NOT belong in them. We want to make sure that we are only placing items in the recycling bins that really can be recycled. Please see the attached memo with a list of items that can and CAN NOT be recycled.  COMMERCIAL RECYCLING GUIDE.

These are a few of the biggest problem items, please remember:
NO plastic bags of any kind
NO food containers (microwave trays / frozen food containers)
NO food waste

Also due to COVID-19 Waste Connections will NOT be picking up any large items at this time. Please do NOT leave any large items by the dumpsters.
